General Inquiries
What is your service territory?
You will find us in Bellevue, Tacoma, Everett, Renton, Kirkland, Redmond, Lynnwood, Edmonds, Marysville and other nearby communities doing full-service plumbing, HVAC and electrical work. We are active all over the Greater Seattle region and then some. If you want to be certain we cover your neighborhood, check out our full service area or ring us at (253) 642-8810.
Is there an after-hours charge for an emergency?
None whatsoever. A burst pipe or no heat is bad enough without an extra fee for the inconvenience. Our plumbers, electricians and HVAC techs are on call 24/7. Just put in a word with our emergency team.
How quickly can you make it over?
We are as flexible with our schedule as we can be and will usually be at your door the same day for an urgent fix rather than have you wait. We can even do same-day installations on occasion.
Can I have a price before you get to work?
Of course. One of our licensed technicians will figure out what is wrong and give you an upfront quote. We like to be honest so the final bill is never a shock.
Do you offer financing?
We do. For a new system or a repair that runs up the tab, we have options to keep payments manageable. Call us when you book and we can discuss the terms.
What about maintenance?
We have a plan for that through Bill’s Comfort Club to keep your home systems in shape. Being a member means priority scheduling, waived fees and some exclusive discounts. It is the best way to put off a breakdown and give your equipment a longer life.
Are you tied to any particular brands?
Not at all. We install and put right all the major makes and models of water heaters, ACs and furnaces, so you don’t have to go looking for a specialist.
Air Conditioning
My unit is giving me trouble – is it worth the investment or should I replace it?
If it is a newer model with one problem, an AC repair will do. But if your system is 10 or 15 years old and can’t stand up to a hot day or needs tending to constantly, you are better off with a replacement. Have our techs run the numbers and they will give you a straight answer.
Do you handle ductless mini-splits?
Yes. They are very efficient for heating and cooling and don’t require a full duct run. We put them in older Seattle homes that lack ductwork or in an addition where you can’t seem to control the temperature.
When should I have my AC tuned up?
An annual check by a pro is the way to go to protect your warranty and keep things running well. Do it in the spring and you will be set for the season.
Heating
Any way to tell if my furnace is in trouble?
Short cycling, strange noises or a burning smell while it is on are a few signs. So too are uneven heat and a spike in your energy bills. You would be wise to have us come out for a repair before a small thing leaves you in the cold one night.
Is a heat pump something to consider for a Seattle home?
A heat pump is the way to go for heating and cooling in this part of the Pacific Northwest, given our mild winters. It is an energy-efficient solution. Let one of our team members come by and have a look; we can put your mind at rest about the condition of your home.
Do you work on boilers?
We do. Whether it is an odd leak or a pressure problem, or you need to replace an old boiler that has run its course, we are on top of the repair and installation side of things.
Plumbing
What is the story with the low water pressure?
There are any number of culprits: mineral deposits in the pipes, a faulty pressure regulator, a leak you can’t see or even an issue with the water main. Our plumber will track down what is causing it and make the pipe repairs needed to restore normal flow.
How do I know when I am due for a new water heater?
You will notice if the water is not hot enough, is cloudy or rusty, or if there are leaks around the tank. Rumbling is another sign. And if the water heater is 10 years plus, give us a ring. We can get you set up with a new one, maybe a tankless model for on-demand heating.
Burst pipe or worse?
Turn off the main valve first to put a stop to the flooding. Then call our 24/7 line at (253) 642-8810. We’ll send a plumber over in a hurry to contain the damage.
Having trouble with old pipes?
If your galvanized lines are aging and prone to leaking, we can repipe the whole house to put an end to the poor water quality and the same old problems.
Drain & Sewer
My drain seems to clog no matter what. Why?
A plunger is only good for so much. You are probably looking at a buildup of roots, hair or grease further down the line. We don’t just make a hole in the clog, we do a proper job of clearing the pipe with hydro jetting.
Is the sewer line the issue?
Those are warning signs if you are smelling sewage, the toilet gurgles or water backs up from a fixture. We can put a camera in there so you don’t have to guess.
Can you fix the sewer without destroying my yard?
For the most part. Trenchless repair lets us fix or replace the line through small access points and leave the driveway and lawn as they are.
Electrical
Why won’t my circuit breaker stop tripping?
It is meant to cut power before an overloaded or bad circuit gets too hot. But if it is a frequent occurrence, you may have a short or an excess of load. An electrician can take a look at the panel and tell you why.
Time for an upgrade to the electrical panel?
If it is undersized or old and you find yourself running a lot of power strips or the lights are flickering, you should consider it. Same if you have plans for a heat pump or EV charger. We can make a recommendation once we have assessed it.
Will you install an EV charger?
Yes, in the garage or driveway. We will put in the dedicated circuit and do whatever panel work is called for to make sure you have safe, fast charging.
What about whole-house surge protection?
Makes sense if you want to protect your electronics and HVAC from a storm. We can put that in for you, and a standby generator for when the power fails.
